About QalbSchool

What is QalbSchool?

QalbSchool brings two things into one family account: a guided online learning path from Head Start and Pre-K through Grade 12, and a marketplace of approved tutors for live one-to-one and small-group help. Qur’an and Tajweed learning is part of both.

Is QalbSchool an accredited school?

No. QalbSchool is a curriculum, tutoring and homeschool-support platform. It does not issue accredited diplomas or official school credit, and its progress reports and transcript-style summaries are unofficial. Families remain responsible for meeting the homeschool requirements where they live.

Do I need the school membership to book a tutor?

No. A tutoring account is free to create, and you pay only for the sessions you book. You can add a school membership to the same account at any time.

Which devices does it work on?

QalbSchool is used through its apps for iPhone and Android, on phones and tablets. Families and students use the QalbSchool app; tutors use the QalbSchool Tutor app. This website is for finding out about QalbSchool; learning, booking and lessons happen in the apps.

Online School

How does my child start?

A parent creates the account, adds a child, chooses the grade and starts a membership for that child. The curriculum for that grade unlocks straight away, and your child signs in to find today’s plan waiting.

What does my child see each day?

A short plan for today: the lesson to continue, work that is due, any live class coming up, and progress in each course. Lessons resume where they were left.

How do I follow my child’s progress?

The parent view shows recent activity, course progress, quiz scores, missing work, attendance, active learning time and teacher feedback for each child. Reports can be downloaded.

I have more than one child. How does that work?

Each child has their own seat, their own grade and their own records. You manage every seat from one parent account and switch between children with a tap.

Who grades my child’s work?

Quizzes are scored automatically. Essays, uploaded files and other written work are graded by a QalbSchool teacher, who returns written feedback.

Where does the course material come from?

Courses are built from openly licensed educational resources and from lessons and assessments written by QalbSchool. Every source is credited inside the lesson it appears in.

Qur’an & Tajweed

What is included for Qur’an learning?

A Qur’an reader with audio, bookmarks and repeat for memorisation, a memorisation plan with daily targets and a revision queue, and recitation homework that a teacher reviews with private feedback.

Can my child learn with a live Qur’an teacher?

Yes. Live one-to-one and small-group Qur’an and Tajweed lessons are booked through the tutor marketplace, including recurring plans on set days each week.

Tutoring

How are tutors approved?

Every tutor applies and is reviewed by QalbSchool before their profile is listed. Identity, qualifications, interview, references and background checks are recorded separately, and a profile shows exactly which checks a tutor has passed.

What kinds of tutoring can I book?

A single session, a prepaid package of sessions, or a monthly plan with a set schedule. Tutors may also offer small-group classes. With Help Now, you describe what you are stuck on and an available tutor picks it up.

When is the tutor paid?

You pay QalbSchool when you book. The tutor’s share is held as pending and released after the session is completed. If something goes wrong, you can report it before the payment is released.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes. Under the standard policy, cancelling or rescheduling at least 24 hours before a session is free. The Cancellation & Refund Policy sets out the full rules, including late cancellations and missed sessions.

Where do lessons take place?

In the QalbSchool live classroom, inside the app on your phone or tablet. There is nothing else to install and no separate meeting account. Each session has its own private room that only the booked learner, their parent and the tutor can enter.

Safety & privacy

How do you keep children safe?

Accounts for children are created by a parent. Messaging and lessons stay inside QalbSchool, so a child never needs to share a phone number, home address or social media account with a tutor. Parents can join their child’s session as an observer, and anyone can report or block a conversation.

Are lessons recorded?

No. Session recording is off.

Do you store my card details?

No. Payments are handled by our payment provider. QalbSchool never stores your card number.

Membership & billing

How is the school membership billed?

Monthly, per student. Each seat gives one child full access to the curriculum for their grade.

Can I cancel the membership?

Yes, at any time from the app. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and your child’s records are kept.

For tutors

How do I become a tutor?

Download the QalbSchool Tutor app and apply with your profile, subjects, qualifications, proposed rates and availability. QalbSchool reviews each application and may ask for changes before approving it.

Can I bring the students I already teach?

Yes. Every approved tutor gets a personal invitation link and can create private classes with their own class code. Share it by WhatsApp or any other app; your students register, book and pay inside QalbSchool.

How do I get paid?

Your earnings for each completed session move from pending to payable after the review period, and are then paid out to your connected payout account. QalbSchool keeps a service commission, which is shown alongside every sale in your earnings.
